Habitats’ role in the project was as landscape consultant in developing a landscape plan and submittal package to the City of Springfield Development Services Site Review process. The scope of services included: identification and locations of existing plants, generation of a base plan of existing conditions, site assessment and analysis (including local context factors), creation of a planting plan and plant list for street trees and planting areas as per Springfield Development Code, and assistance with resolving public access issues from the public sidewalk to the office in a manner that complied with universal accessibility (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. In addition, a conceptual site plan was created prior to developing the submittal package to provide an overall vision for the property.
