Eugene-Springfield Metro Area Wastewater Treatment PlantThe Eugene-Springfield Wastewater Treatment Plant entry design displays a variety of ecological design techniques. The primary objective of the design is to strike a balance between creating an attractive ornamental landscape and demonstrating principles of ecological sustainability. Methods used in the design decrease storm water run-off, increase habitat value, and provide increased opportunities to enjoy and learn from plant, animal and soil life.
